PT BROS INTI WISATA was born in Medan with one simple mission: to introduce Sumatra to the world — not through brochures, but through local stories.
After 20+ years guiding travelers through Sumatra, we've formalized what we've long been doing — to be more accountable, more professional, and better prepared to serve guests from across ASEAN.
20+ years ago, our founder started his career in Sumatra's tourism industry — first as a local guide, then operations staff for tour operators, eventually becoming a consultant for various international travel agencies sending guests to Medan, Toba, and beyond.
Over the years, he observed the same pattern repeating: travelers from Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand were genuinely fascinated by Sumatra, but often returned with experiences that didn't match expectations. Not because the destinations lacked anything — but because the way experiences were delivered was still weak. Too many operators competed on price rather than quality.
In February 2025, we officially established PT BROS INTI WISATA before Notary Hendro Chandra, S.H., M.Kn. in Medan — formalizing what we'd long been practicing. Ratification from the Indonesian Ministry of Law was issued on 18 February 2025, the Business Identification Number (NIB) on 25 February 2025, followed by the Travel Agency Standard Certificate.
Why formalize now? Because the modern ASEAN traveler market needs formal accountability — not just verbal promises. Guests from Malaysia, Singapore, or Thailand deserve to know who they're dealing with: a properly registered PT, with active NIB, valid standard certification, and proper insurance. 20+ years of experience and complete legal standing = verifiable trust.
The name "BROS" comes from the spirit of togetherness — brotherhood — at the core of Sumatran culture. Our tagline "Hub of Sumatra" reflects our identity: Medan as Sumatra's connectivity hub — international airport, Belawan port, road networks to the entire region. From this hub, we serve guests exploring the riches of North Sumatra: Lake Toba, Bukit Lawang, Berastagi, and the entire Batak homeland.
Themed travel development · Gastronomy
Bros Wisata was selected as one of 25 Demoday WISH 2026 participants in the Gastronomy category. Representing Bros Wisata, Pak Indra presented our 7-day, 6-night North Sumatra gastronomy travel concept, connecting food origins, local knowledge, and the lives of the people who produce it.
Mentoring and storyline development have helped us shape a 7-day, 6-night journey through Medan/Kualanamu, Bukit Lawang, Berastagi, Samosir/Lake Toba, and back to Medan. The focus goes beyond tasting food to explore the connections between dishes, places, and people.
This gastronomy experience is under development. Dishes, local partners, and activities will be confirmed before being offered as part of a tour package.
